![]() ![]() Regardless Bizzy is still dope and this cd is worth the buy if you're into experimental/underground hip-hop. Also, sadly, the best produced song on this cd is from the Next Friday soundtrack ("Fried Day") and sticks out like a sore thunb amdist all of the religous banter that often fills up Bizzy Bone albums (example: "I sold things that I ain't proud of" and "and I ain't talkin about weed, the world is all you need" from this cd, slightly hypocritical, but still engaging). Some of the choruses are a bit out-of-place ("Don't Be Dumb" and "Jesus") and again, some of the beats drag ("Voices In The Head"). Specifically "Before I Go", a detailed and personal narative about an impending jail sentence. Bizzys fellow group member Layzie Bone publicly challenged these claims and also released a diss track towards Migos and 21 Savage after the latter came to the defense of Migos, while in the process dissing Layzie Bone calling him 'old, broke' and that he could have sex with Layzies wife. ![]() Granted, the production was a couple steps back, but most of the beats kept up with Bizzy's timeless flow and emotionally charged lyrics. The Gift was a tremendous step forward for Bizzy Bone as a solo artist. Download Bizzy Bone - The Gift (mp3) Bizzy Bone "The Gift" Album Review ![]()
